How it Works

Working each system in the body through contraction and extension, the postures address every bodily system including: digestive, respiratory, circulatory, immune, endocrine, lymphatic, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. It stretches and strengthens every single muscle, ligament and joint in the body down to cell membrane stretching. Bikram Yoga is a challenging, exciting, vigorous and profound yoga series. It is an excellent complement to all other forms of exercise and sport and can help keep you competitive and active throughout your entire life. Bikram Yoga has proven itself effective in the United States and abroad for over forty years.

  • Stretching the muscles works the body at the cellular level.  Deep cell stretching helps to facilitate dissemination of nutrients and biochemicals, and the removal of waste products.

  • In the warmth, calories and fatty acids become more accessible and are more easily burned, helping the body operate at optimal fitness.

  • Cholesterol in the blood gets "blasted out" of the arteries and veins; in turn it regulates blood pressure.

  • Oxygen and nutrients are supplied to parts of the body that have been in "cold storage", without maximal circulation for extended periods of stress and illness.

  • Toxins are eliminated and the central nervous system is both energized and soothed.

  • The lymphatic system is flushed and the immune system strengthened.

  • Sexual vitality and fertility are improved.

  • The internal organs and endocrine systems are massaged and balanced, returning circulation and bringing them back to peak efficiency.

Studio is open to the public 30 minutes before and after all scheduled classes, except the early birds. Studio opens 15 minutes before 6:30 am classes.
